Another Cisco Live is in the books. The Akkadian team had the pleasure of attending and presenting our solutions from our booth, as a Gold Sponsor. Amidst all the exciting news from Cisco, our team also came prepared with our fair share of announcements. Check it all out in our recap of the event.

As always, Cisco Live brings together leaders in the UC industry to learn about new technologies and trends. This year was no different. We’ve attended many Cisco Live events in the past, and this year’s event took the energy to the next level – including filled stadiums, bustling booths, and insightful keynotes.

Now that we’ve had time to look over our notes and stop our collective heads from spinning, we wanted to take the time to recap the event for those that couldn’t attend.

First, we’ll dive into some of the emerging UC and collaboration trends that the event highlighted. Then we’ll cover some the Akkadian team highlights from the event. Let’s dig in.

UC and Collaboration Trends Emerging from Cisco Live 2023

As always, Cisco came with many new announcements and forward-thinking keynotes, setting the direction for the year to come. Of course, we were hyper-focused on the trends surrounding collaboration.

Across all the keynote sessions there were constant mentions of cloud, AI, and hybrid work.

In regard to collaboration, Jeetu Patel, EVP and General Manager, Security & Collaboration at Cisco, led two important keynote sessions on security and hybrid work. Here are some key takeaways.

  • Cisco is launching specialized meeting hardware designed for many different-sized spaces – powered by AI and Nvidia chips.
  • These devices will allow for much more immersive hybrid meeting experiences – meaning camera angle changes and dynamic acoustics and lighting.
  • Further enhancing these experiences, Cisco is going to place heavy emphasis on smarter, AI-driven experiences that will allow users to get meeting summaries and even overcome language barriers with intuitive voice commands.

Overall, these updates and trends confirmed that Akkadian is on the right path as we look to improve our provisioning capabilities to include cloud and hybrid UC solutions.

Akkadian’s Cisco Live Highlights

Highlight #1: Some Fresh New Branding

If you stopped by our booth, you may have noticed, we had a new tagline: Provisioning without the process.

We chose this tagline to fully distill how valuable our UC provisioning and management solutions are as organizations continue their hybrid work transformations.

As companies undergo these changes, they need to simplify, automate, and even eliminate processes wherever possible.

Our powerful provisioning and UC management solutions help companies do just that. We help transform drawn-out, error-prone processes like UC provisioning into a simple step – Provisioning without the process.

Highlight #2: Added Support for Webex Contact Center

Our major product update heading into Cisco Live was our new automated provisioning support for Webex Contact Center in Akkadian Provisioning Manager.

This addition expands Akkadian’s integration with Webex Control Hub and adds to our current provisioning automation capabilities for all Cisco on-premise contact center products (UCCE, P-UCCE and UCCX).

Ultimately, this update enables zero-touch provisioning from a single pane of glass for all the UC applications a call center agent will need.

And it couldn’t have come at a better time. As we’ve seen in many industries, contact centers are going through on-prem to cloud transitions. This provisioning support makes migrations to Webex Contact Center much easier.

Highlight #3: Prize Giveaways

What’s a tradeshow without giveaways and prizes? And we came prepared with some Star Wars themed giveaways.

We held a raffle for a Lego Millennium Falcon. Plus, we also gave away a few lightsabers to other lucky winners.

Highlight #4: Great Booth Conversations

We were fortunate enough to attend Cisco Live with a large booth, complete with our updated branding and messaging. It certainly attracted a lot of eyes and interest, leading to tons of great conversations.

As always, we love getting to talk to our customers and strategic partners in person. Seeing you all at Cisco Live to talk shop and find new and exciting ways to innovate and improve is always a highlight of our year. We hope that it is for you as well.

Conclusion: We Can’t Wait for Next Year

Ultimately Cisco Live 2023 was a fantastic event. Our team left ready to help tackle new challenges in UC provisioning and management as enterprises embark on their continued transition to cloud-based, hybrid work.

Thanks to everyone who was able to stop by the booth. Expect follow-ups from our team to continue the conversations. We can’t wait to see you all again next year in Vegas!
